WHO I AM

I am an electrician in Petworth that has been successfully completing work in the area for many years.

I’m Tom Read and I’ve been running my domestic electrical business for over 10 years, covering Sussex, Surrey, Hampshire and South London.

I can help you with all your electrical problems, I’ve worked on stately homes and one bed flats and, as everyone’s home is their castle, I like to ensure all customers are satisfied with a job well done.

I’d like to pioneer face time calls, save on call out fees, driving over etc. Message me and let’s face time to talk through fault finding and quotes if you prefer. It would be my pleasure to help you with your electrical problems.

As you may appreciate I can’t always reply to enquiries immediately and with the increase of nuisance calls all unknown numbers will go to voicemail so please leave a message.

Thomas responded to my initial request on checkatrade really quickly. Communicated well and efficiently. He advised clearly that he may not have been able to fix the oven issue. But came out to look regardless. And luckily was able to resolve both issues. Really polite and professional. Straightforward, no hassle. Would definitely recommend.

Tom did a great job in installing our downlights! I’m amazed how the area is always tidy after he completes his work. He gave suggestions on how much lights will we need in each area and was easy enough to make minor changes to the original plan as needed. He installed about 30 downlights all together. The quote was reasonable and was the same price I paid in the end.

Tom respond to our initial enquiry quickly and asked detailed questions about the job before he arrived. He was very reliable and advised us of his ETA when he was on route to us. He was professional and completed the job well. We would definitely recommend him.

FAQs

How do I find a good electrician?
The most important part of finding the right electrician is getting multiple quotes. You need to find a few different quotes and see how similar the price is. If they are all in the same ballpark you can be confident you aren’t under or overpaying. This ensures that the tradesperson knows how much the work costs and what they are doing.
How long will the work take?
After we have discussed your needs and requirements, I will give you a quote with the price and time to complete the work included. I am always punctual and on time.
Do you offer a free, no obligation quotation?
I am very happy to offer free, no obligation quotations to all of my potential customers. Just get in touch through your preferred way of contact and I can talk you through the process.
How long is your waiting list?
There is no perfect answer for this, if you want to know my current turn around you can get in touch with me and ask. I am always on hand to answer any questions you may have.
Can I see your previous work?
I showcase my recent work on our gallery page, please feel free to take a look. If you have any questions about my previous work, I will be happy to discuss the work I did for that project.
